The NJSIAA has made another significant adjustment to the swimming state finals schedule, this time due to an impending snowstorm on Sunday. The Group A and Non-Public boys and girls state finals, originally set for February 22nd at Rutgers, have been rescheduled for Thursday, February 26th, at the Neptune Aquatic Center in Neptune. This change ensures the safety and fairness of the competition in the face of adverse weather conditions.
The Group B and C state finals, however, will maintain their original schedule, unaffected by the snowstorm. Spectators who purchased tickets for the Sunday finals will receive refunds from Rutgers, and the NJSIAA will provide ticket information for the Thursday event as soon as possible. All warm-up sessions for each meet will commence 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
The revised schedule for the affected meets is as follows:
Tuesday, February 24th at Rutgers:
- Girls Public C: Mountain Lakes vs. Haddonfield, 5 p.m.
- Boys Public C: Mendham vs. Haddonfield, 5 p.m.
- Boys Public B: Moorestown vs. Chatham, 7 p.m.
- Girls Public B: Shawnee vs. Chatham, 7 p.m.
Thursday, February 26th at Neptune Aquatic Center:
- Girls Public A: Cherry Hill East vs. Bridgewater-Raritan, 1:30 p.m.
- Boys Public A: Hillsborough vs. Bridgewater-Raritan, 1:30 p.m.
- Boys Non-Public: Delbarton vs. St. Augustine, 4 p.m.
- Girls Non-Public: Trinity Hall vs. Pingry, 4 p.m.
